Worthwhile Life Week: Day 1 - Get Off Your Couch
That second that just passed?
It will never pass again.
There will never, ever be a December 28th, 2010 again. This is the only day in the history and future of the world in which the date was December 28th 2010. You will never be able to live this day ever again.
So what the heck are you sitting on the couch watching TV in your jammies?!
Do something. Do what you've always wanted to do.
Do you love art? Paint something. Draw something. Doodle.
Do you love computers? Design one. Buy one. Modify one.
Do you love fashion? Design it. Purchase it. Learn to sew.
Do you love dinosaurs? Study them. Sketch them. Read Jurassic Park.
Do you love houses? Design one. Build one. Improve one.
If you love anything in the world, you should do it. If it doesn't work out on the first try, well, then, congratulations, you're officially human. Try again. And again. If you don't like it then try something else. If you like it, well, then, that's absolutely fantastic. Make it a part of your life.
You will die eventually. It is inevitable. Every second that passes is another second closer to it. You will only have one life to live. Don't waste it. Make something of it. Do what you love everyday. Call that long-lost friend. Reorganize your kitchen. Start a collection.
It's the only life that you'll have a chance to.
If you're perfectly satisfied watching TV from your couch in your jammies every day, well, that's fine...but wouldn't you rather do something exciting?
Learn a sport.
Audition for a musical.
Build a school.
Make the most out of your valuable life.
There has never been anyone in the world quite like you. There will never be anyone in the world quite like you. Make people remember you. Treat people as you'd want to be treated. Have high self-esteem.
Go show the world how awesome you are.
Because there will never be another person quite as awesome as you.
So, are you going to get off the couch now?
Bad Luck Tuesday: I could only find one pair of red earrings today, and they were boring ruby studs, and I thought, oh well, better than nothing and then I could not for the life of me get the back off of one! I ended up not wearing them. Ugh.
